Barb Brummer’s Biography:

Since childhood, I have had a strong interest in Art, spending my free time drawing and painting. However, in the last 10 years I have been more active in this pursuit and have been able to take more Workshop Classes and enter more area Art Shows.  I am mostly self-taught and work primarily with oil and watercolor, but have also branched out in pen and ink and pastel.

I enjoy the outdoors and nature and usually reflect this theme in my paintings and drawings by doing landscapes, barns and flowers.  I also enjoy doing some children’s portraits and have done numerous commissions in these different subjects.

I have had several shows of my own including Lakeland Jr. College and recently had my art chosen by Lakeland for their annual Christmas Card and to be added to their permanent collection.  I have been a member of the Effingham Art Guild for many years and have held several positions over this time.
