December 2018 EAG News

President Notes December 2018
Our November 13th meeting was a lot of fun and full of creativity! Twenty four members and guests enjoyed exploring white acrylic on black canvas hosted by EAG’s own Jan VonBokel. Many of us found that the technique looked easier than it was but, as you will see in the pictures below, there was some beautiful work done by the group.

Thanks goes to Donna Kutcher and Rose Sutton for bringing refreshments to the meeting!

Our Tuesday, December 11th meeting will be our Christmas Potluck with everyone bringing a covered dish. The Potluck will begin at 6PM with dinner. We will have a $10.00 gift exchange after dinner for those that want to participate. There is no scheduled entertainment this year, but if anyone would like to share a favorite Christmas tradition or story that they have or Holiday related art or photographs that they have done over the years, we would love it. Also, if anyone knows Santa Claus personally, ask him to join us for dinner and maybe we could talk him into handing out the presents! We’ll try to have Christmas music playing softly in the background. Rose Sutton and Barb Brummer are making plans for a festive evening with flowers and decorations for the tables. So I hope all will come and plan to spend the evening visiting with new friends and catching up with old friends.

I want to thank Bonnie Siebert, Jan VonBokel, Ham Hampton and Robert Lumpp for bringing in paintings to share with the group. This is always inspiring to see what other members are doing and it is a good opportunity for the artist to ask for an honest input and suggestions.

GROUP THEME PROJECT FOR JUNE, 2019:
The theme that was chosen for our annual group project was “Flowers”. Every year members, choosing to complete their own version of the chosen subject, brings their work to the end of the year potluck which next year will be on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019.
