What a busy time….. The many compliments about the quality of our recent show leaves no doubt that it was one of our best yet. Thanks to all who worked (it didn’t seem to end). John and Suzi Gabb for being chairmen, Barb Brummer and Nancy Guilliams for the reception(hospitality) all the sitters, hangers, to Dale Wagoner for handling flats and to the judge, Christopher Troutman. I am sure someone has been left out, unintentionally, and I apologize . While the show was winding down on Saturday the Artisan Fair was in full swing at the Courthouse. The EAG hosted an event at the Children’s tent again this year. Kristen Pryor, Chris Detwiler, Kim Kobler and myself helped 200+ children make a sand art creation in a plastic, shaped bottle attached to a necklace. It was a well received craft and the kids really enjoyed the star, pony, baseball, etc. craft. The ARC auction made over $3,000 for it’s art program. We couldn’t have done it without the support of EAG artists. Thanks to all who donated and realize you are our angels. It seems we are asked to donate often but the smiling faces of the ARC consumers when they are painting and showing their art make it a worth while donation. Thanks to Chris Detwiler, Carolyn Lambert, Sandra Lautrup, Barb Brummer, John Gabb, Clare Smith(we miss you), Kim Kobler, Dixie Petticrew, Jan Von Bokel and myself. There are others who were generous and we appreciate you all. This is an important meeting with the election of officers. There will be a discussion on the general format of the meetings and your input will be appreciated. A special thanks to Barbara Brummer for not hesitating to be the interim treasurer. It was a relief to have such a smooth transition and she volunteered. Bob Reisling felt he needed to resign before the show due to the possibility of liability. We respect his wishes.
