It was great seeing everyone at the September Meeting! Seeing all the wonderful art and photography displayed by members showed the varied interests and talent among the group. I would like to see folks continue to bring a photo that they have done or a painting that they would like for the group to critique. One thing I thought about would be the two bringing refreshments for a particular month might bring a piece or two to show and say a few words about.
I encourage all of you to bring a friend or family member with you to the meetings and share the newsletter with friend’s.
We are part of the Fine Arts County of Effingham (F.A.C.E.) and I want to encourage each of you to support them and one way would be to join the group. There are many benefits of being a F.A.C.E. Member which can be seen on their website. Visit www.effinghamface.com for more membership application. I want to thank all of you that have been working so hard to make this 2017-18 year a great one!
Please call me if you would like to know more about helping with present and future EAG projects (217-821-9766).
Each year we designate a theme to create a piece of artwork to display at our final meeting of the year. Previous themes have included insects, vehicles,
childhood memories, and musical inspiration. We can either repeat a previous theme or come up with something new. Please bring ideas to our October meeting where we will choose a topic.
