SPRING WORKSHOP RETREATS – Held at DuBois Center

May 23 – 25, 2011

This retreat will start with Monday lunch and end at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Two nights lodging, seven meals, and instruction in one of the offered workshops are included for the fee of $195.00. Instructor programs and business meeting will be held in the evenings. A supply list and directions to the camp will be sent to those who register.

Shirley Nachtrieb of St. Charles, MO, will teach the Watermedia and Collage workshop. Students should bring photo references of barns or old buildings (high contrast) as well as other watermedia supplies on the list. Some special papers will be available at the workshop. Limit of 15 students.

John Gabb of Effingham, Il, will teach the Plein Air workshop. John is a multimedia artist. Students will work in the painting or drawing media preferred. John will assist each student with all aspects of painting or drawing from developing a good composition to perfecting the finished piece.

Todd Atteberry of Carmi, IL, will teach a Digital Photography workshop. Todd supplied the following information about this workshop.

Class 4. Photography for artists. How to take photographs for reference. Creating digital art. How to take photographs of your paintings.

Class 5. What to do with your images. Printing options. How to submit artwork electronically for exhibits. Sharing and selling your art on the internet.
