EAG November 2019 News

President Notes November 2019

I was so thrilled with our turnout at our October meeting, 26 attendees plus two cute kiddos. It is so enjoyable to see our guild continue to grow and share our artwork with the community. A special thank you to Liz Wernsing for sharing her cookie art and bringing us some pumpkin cookies for decorating. I think all members really enjoyed trying something they hadn’t done in a while and sampling their creations.

As with all of our meetings, members and visitors are encouraged to bring work to share. All media welcome.

One of our speakers from last year, the phenomenal watercolor artist Chris Roberts, was taken from this earth far too soon. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Be sure to join us for our November 12th meeting at 6 pm at the Ron Diehl Center. Our November refreshment providers are Harold Hampton and Sharon Moss.

Yearly Theme was voted on at our last meeting and we are going to create based on the theme of natural elements (wind, water, sunlight).

Becky Marcussen provided an informative workshop on pastels on October 1st. We were so glad to be able to not only learn a lot, but catch up with an artist that we miss seeing on a regular basis. Thank you, Becky, for traveling here and sharing your talent.

In order for both new and returning members to plan for upcoming shows, please find a list of our current displays and approximate months the display is changed. We are hoping this will help with planning throughout the year for our artists.
