An addition to the Scarecrow Daze weekend in Shelbyville will be the First Sunday Sing at Flourishes Gallery and Studios. It will be held on Sunday, October 7 starting at 3 p.m. Three groups are scheduled with the first being the Erickson children of Todd and Tamara of rural Shelbyville. The seven children will present vocal selections from musicals with perhaps the guitar accompaniment. A reception and browsing of the gallery show and studios will take place before the duets of contemporary music presented by Bobbie Dimock and Debbie Shoaff. After another break, the Lee Schofield family of four out of Monticello will give us bluegrass music with guitar and voice.
Flourishes Gallery and Studios is located in the heart of downtown Shelbyville at 140 ½ East Main. With the ballroom and stage nearer completion, performances will take place in that part of Flourishes. Refreshments will be served.
